The gooseneck spout provides precision pouring, letting you control flow rate and target specific areas of the coffee bed. This matters particularly in the bloom phase, when you want to saturate all the grounds evenly, and during the main pour, when you're aiming for consistent extraction across the entire bed.

The counterbalanced handle shifts the center of mass back toward your hand, making the kettle feel lighter and more stable as you pour.
